Stefan Danailov, the Master
Stefan Danailov was born on December 9, 1942 in Sofia. In his childhood he dreamed of becoming a sailor in the civilian fleet. At the age of 14, she took part in the photographs of Traces Remain, but after the barracks on the advice of her sister and her husband, the famous Bulgarian actor Ivan Kondov, entered the VITIZ.
Stefan Danailov studied acting from famous masters of cinema and theater, graduated from the Institute and started working at the Plovdiv Theater. His first movie role earned him a lot of popularity, which became enormous after his appearance on the television screen of the TV series "Every Kilometer" (1969). In the role of Major Deyanov, the young actor was remembered by the mass audience. There are suggestions for photos of many films and Stefan Danailov even temporarily leaves the theater, but later returns to the stage.
The actor has participated in more than 80 Bulgarian and foreign films and has received many awards. In 1969 at the Festival of Bulgarian Films in Varna, the actor received the Best Actor Award in the films "The Prince" and "Black Angels". In 1976 in Czechoslovakia Stefan Danailov was recognized as the most popular actor.
Professor Stefan Danailov is the recipient of the highest award for his contribution to Bulgarian culture - the Stara Planina Order.
Stefan Danailov is a member of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), and from 2005 to 2009 he is Bulgarian Minister of Culture.
The Bulgarians say: "Just as in France there is Alain Delon, so do we have Stefan Danailov."
He died on November 27, 2019, at the age of 76.
